Faithful Climate Conversations

Janet Gray, living gratefully and respectfully on unceded West Coast Salish lands, invited church leaders in her denomination to fan out and invite people to Faithful Climate Conversations. Here’s why:

Sandy Plett, Climate Action Coordinator for Mennonite Church Canada loves the FCC – here’s why!

Erika Thogersen, Constituency Relations and Education Coordinator for MCC Saskatchewan, adapted and led 4 sessions of climate conversation with the youth group from Osler Mennonite Church.

Rev. Susan Toller led a series of Faithful Climate Conversations in her church.  These discussions led to more conversant and curious congregants, when it comes to talking about the climate crisis.

Claire Ewert Fisher hosted a Faithful Climate Conversation at her church in Saskatoon. This is her reflection on the results.

Carl Cherland hosted a Faithful Climate Conversations (FCC) in Regina. The big change he saw after experiencing the FCC with his congregation was the willingness to fund the solar project.

Sustainable Brandon is a wonderful example of what can come out of a Faithful Climate Conversation.

We are currently seeking Champions from across Canada to animate the Faithful Climate Conversations and to share about their experiences with us in 2024.
