A report on the KAIROS / For the Love of Creation delegation to COP27 is now available. The report details key outcomes from the 10-person delegation, impacts on public engagement in Canada, media coverage, lessons learned and more.
Taking a 10-person delegation halfway around the world for 8 days, to attend the largest climate conference on the globe is no small accomplishment. Congratulations to all involved!
As FLC began to plan with KAIROS and the United Church, we each found our niche. FLC recruited, selected, and supported two youth delegates. KAIROS looked after the delegation logistics and accompaniment. The UCC provided accreditation. FLC also took the lead role in the engagement work with Canadians. The Animators Circle and Candles for COP activities were FLC initiatives to support the delegation and the overall goal of Decolonizing Climate Action, along with some events and a bit of social media work. Please read more about the amazing work of the very dedicated delegates that you supported.
